The Service Credit Union Boston – Portsmouth Air Show is honored to have Michael Goulian returning to perform his edgy, crisp, and aggressive style of aerobatics at the 2012 show. Flying his state-of-the-art Wheelen Extra 330SC, Michael will captivate crowds with a performance that is a dazzling, tumbling, display of modern aerobatic maneuvers punctuated by the edgy, hard, and aggressive style of flying that has become Michael’s signature.

With more than twenty years of focused competition and training, there are few flyers in the world that can captivate an air show audience like Michael Goulian. He is a former U.S. aerobatic champion from North Andover, Massachusetts, a competitor in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship and a recipient of the prestigious Art Scholl and Bill Barber Awards for air show showmanship Goulian was recently awarded the 2011 International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) Sword of Excellence, a prestigious recognition awarded to an individual based on contributions made to the air show industry. Goulian was recognized for promoting a culture of safety and professionalism and setting the standard in the industry.  Goulian is only the seventh air show professional to be awarded all three of the air show industry’s top honors.

As a member of three US World Aerobatic Teams and a past US National Aerobatic Champion, Michael maneuvers his show stopping aircraft with the characteristic precision demanded of world level flying. His attention to precision and excellence have made him a world renowned Aerobatic Pilot for over a decade. Michael’s display is accompanied by a high tech choreographed music system, which punctuates the emotion and intensity that is a Michael Goulian performance.
